The weather was forecasted to FINALLY cool down quite a bit this weekend, so we told the kids that we’d go to the lake this afternoon and have a picnic lunch. We all really enjoy doing this, but we simply won’t do it during the summer when “California” is here crowding the beach, and it’s so hot out.
We all got a little concerned that we may not go around 11:00am when it was already 95° out. That usually means by 1:00pm it’ll be over 105. However, it pretty well stayed there at 95° for the entire afternoon. So I made a picnic lunch of tuna sandwiches, grapes (of course!) and water bottles. Megan usually doesn’t like hanging out at the lake, and today was no different. She had some schoolwork to do, so she brought along her computer and got some work done on. At least she got out of the house for a bit. We had a relaxing few hours out there, and I even got into the water and enjoyed myself (not a big fan of getting into bodies of water). I love Havasu!!
